	McKeesport Downtown Housing Holiday Health Event On December 6, 2011 McKeesport Downtown Housing located at 523 Sinclair St. McKeesport, the former McKeesport YMCA, was the place to be for residents and locals looking to receive free flu shots, health screening for blood pressure, pulse oximetry, pulmonary function, bone density, body fat, and Carmon monoxide and refreshments, door prizes, and giveaways.

United Way Day of Caring Event June 12, 2009 On June 12, 2009 Bank of New York Mellon, lead by the event chair, Ricardo Savido, President of Bank of New York Mellon Community Development Corporation, participated in a United Way Day of Caring event with ACTION-Housing held at Allegheny Independence House.

	ACTION-Housing’s 51st Annual Meeting On Wednesday, June 4, 2008, ACTION-Housing, Inc. celebrated its 51st year of operation. The Annual Meeting, held at the Omni William Penn Hotel Grand Ballroom filled with colleagues, friends, and supporters of ACTION-Housing. The Keynote Speaker, Sheila Crowley, President and CEO of the National Low Income Housing Coalition has 25 years of experience in organizational leadership, direct service, policy advocacy, and scholarship on homelessness and housing.

	United Way Day of Caring - October 12, 2007 ACTION-Housing, Inc. joined once again in the United Way, National Day of Caring.

	State Farm Check Presentation - July 26, 2007 ACTION-Housing, Inc., Family Savings Account Program (FSA) received corporate funding on July 26, 2007 from the State Farm Insurance Company.

	PHFA check presentation - November 19, 2007 ACTION-Housing, Inc. was awarded $260,500 in funds from the Pennsylvania Housing and Finance Agency for the 2007 Homeownership Choice Program funding round.

	ACTION-Housing, Inc. celebrates 50 years of Community Assistance Allegheny Council To Improve Our Neighborhoods, “ACTION” Housing, Inc., was formally incorporated in 1957, through a by-laws amendment to it’s predecessor organization, the Pittsburgh Housing Corporation, which was formed in 1928 to address the community’s most critical housing problems through educational, research and advocacy activities.

	YouthBuild Graduation On June 12, 2007 YouthBuild held its 3rd Graduation Ceremony. The graduation was held on the 31st floor of the Regional Enterprise Building in downtown Pittsburgh.

	YouthBuild Student Leadership Conference On May 4, 2007 during for the second day of the YouthBuild Student Leadership Conference, State Representative Jake Wheatley, Jr. was one of several presenters. Representative Wheatley spoke to the students about the importance of voting, the role of elected officials and how citizens can make an impact on their communities.

	New Executive Director Larry Swanson On September 15, 2005, ACTION-Housing's Transition Committee recommended the appointment of Lawrence A. Swanson as the agency's next Executive Director to take effect at the time of Jon Zimmer's retirement on June 30, 2006.
