The Mackey Lofts is ACTION-Housing's newest property. Built in a former biscuit factory, the Mackey building had fallen into disrepair, that was until ACTION-Housing sought to rehabilitate the factory into 43 units of housing. 35 rooms are one-bedroom units, and the other 8 are two-bedroom units. 18 of the units have special accessibility features, while 8 of them are specifically designed for the deaf, deaf/bind, and or hard of hearing community. The building is on the busy Forbes-Fifth transit corridor, making getting around the city, be it by bus, bike, or car, a snap.
